Clinical work is meaningful, rewarding, and deeply human. It can also be complex, emotionally demanding, and at times, isolating.
Whether you are a new clinician developing confidence in your practice or an experienced therapist navigating complex clinical situations, supervision provides a dedicated space for reflection, learning, growth, and support.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, relational, and grounded in curiosity. I believe supervision is most effective when it creates enough safety for clinicians to think openly, ask difficult questions, explore uncertainty, and learn from both successes and challenges.
Together, we can explore clinical formulation, case conceptualization, trauma-informed practice, ethical dilemmas, countertransference, professional identity development, boundaries, self-of-the-therapist work, and the emotional impact of clinical practice. Supervision is not simply about finding the "right" answer; it is about strengthening your ability to think critically, remain grounded in complexity, and develop confidence in your own clinical judgment.
My supervision practice is informed by over two decades of experience in mental health, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, child and youth mental health, clinical leadership, program development, and systems-level work. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision from the University of Ottawa and remain committed to ongoing professional learning.
I have a particular interest in supporting clinicians working with trauma, complex presentations, attachment concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and relational challenges. My clinical work has included extensive training in trauma-focused approaches, including EMDR, as well as ongoing learning in attachment, Polyvagal Theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and relational psychotherapy.
Above all, I view supervision as a space for growth rather than evaluation. Effective therapists are not those who have all the answers. They are those who remain curious, reflective, ethical, and willing to continue learning throughout their careers.
Good supervision helps clinicians care for others while continuing to care for themselves.
Supervision is tailored to your stage of professional development, clinical interests, and practice setting.
